In the coming year 2020, American Airlines will boost its service to three South American cities from Miami and will add new direct service between Boston and London Heathrow. On April 7, 2020, The American Airline will increase its service between Miami and Lima, Peru, from two daily flights to three daily flights. Also, In the winter of the coming year 2020, American will add one daily flight on the route between Miami and Santiago, Chile, and also the route between Miami and Sao Paulo.
American and joint business partner British Airways will offer five daily flights between the two airports. Daily service will be continuing between Boston and Heathrow and will begin on March 29. The parent company of British Airways knew as International Airlines Group also plans to add service between Boston and Paris Orly on its low-cost subsidiary Level.
American's Latin America network took a hit last week with the news that Latam will pull out of the Oneworld alliance and out of a planned joint business with American to instead establish a joint business with Delta.
American VP of network and schedule planning Vasu Raja said the expanded service shows the carrier will "continue to grow, compete and thrive in a region of the world where we have a long history and a bright future." Also, American is extending the summer service on three transatlantic routes to begin the entire thing early.
Service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Rome will begin on March 29 instead of May 3. Service between Dallas-Fort Worth and Dublin will begin on May 7 instead of June 6. Service between Chicago O'Hare and Barcelona will begin on April 6 instead of May 3. All the stated new service are pending for government approval.
