Business Events Sydney (BESydney) has introduced a new funding initiative aimed at supporting Indian travel agents and meeting planners, addressing the rising costs of organizing international corporate events.
The newly launched Sydney Meetings Fund (SMF) is now open for applications and offers financial support to offset on-ground expenses for corporate and incentive events held in Sydney. Targeted at smaller events hosting between 75 to 250 delegates, the fund is available for a limited time through BESydney’s official website.
Kristian Nicholls, Executive General Manager of Client Engagement at BESydney, noted strong interest in the fund since its opening. “We’ve already seen a number of event owners qualify for 2025 support. Sydney remains India’s top market in Australia, and we’re excited to welcome more meetings and incentives from India. Following our 2023 India famil, we know Indian delegates love Sydney’s natural beauty, adventure, cuisine, and wildlife,” he said.
BESydney, an independent not-for-profit organization, is also enhancing accessibility to Sydney by offering planning tools, supplier connections, and expert guidance on the city’s latest hotels, venues, and attractions.
For events exceeding 250 delegates, BESydney invites planners to reach out directly via their website.
“We can’t wait to showcase Sydney’s transformation—new luxury hotels, thrilling attractions, superyacht venues, and private island experiences,” added Nicholls. “The city’s fresh energy is ready to inspire delegates from around the world.”
