OtherHalf Studio is proud to present OH!Tenang, is an immersive art experience tailored for all. Taking place from 9th December 2023 to 21st January 2024, it is located on the 7th Floor of Gurney Plaza, next to senQ.

Visitors are taken on a multi-sensory journey through selected scents, moving imagery, soothing melodies of gamelan, guzheng, sape' and other local traditional instruments, weaved with the symphony of the natural world.

It is an experience that encourages visitors to pause and reconnect with themselves. With an aim to bridge the gap between art and community, fostering an appreciation for the therapeutic impact of art on our well-being.

As part of the experience, the music is especially composed for OH! Tenang by a long-time friend and support of culture, Ashwin Gobinath from Nadir Music Studios. It will be played for the full duration of the show alongside the visuals produced in-house at OtherHalf Studio.

Visitors should also mark their calendars as renowned sape' musician, Alena Murang will be playing at OH!Tenang on 13th January 2024. Registration is open and more information about the event is available on the official website. Born in Kuching, Sarawak, Alena sings in the endangered Kenyah and Kelabit languages and is the first woman to professionally play the sape.
Her songs transcend the borders of traditional and contemporary art schemes, producing soundscapes that are a medley of traditional Dayak tones and rhythms of the 21st century.

OH!Tenang is an experience not to be missed and made possible with the support by ArtsFAS by Yayasan Hasanah in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. This was also made possiblenthanks to Gurney Plaza and Kenny from Penang Art District who provided plenty of valuable insight. A series of experiences will also be held during the duration of the installation.
