Food lovers and industry professionals alike have the opportunity to explore the latest food trends, sample unique culinary creations, and connect with leading food and beverage industry players at the largest F&B Expo in the northern region, the Foodicious Food & Beverage Expo 2024, taking place at the SPICE Arena from 2 to 4 August 2024.
YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), presides over the expo’s launching ceremony. Also present at the opening ceremony is event organiser Foodicious Sdn Bhd’s CEO Mr Aleex Quah.
Organised by Foodicious Sdn Bhd, the Foodicious Food & Beverage Expo 2024 aims to promote local and international F&B industry players. The multi day event gathers over 220 vendors from manufacturing to home-based businesses under one roof, offering these exhibiting companies the opportunities to expand their outreach in the market before audiences of professionals and food lovers. At the same time, visitors will have the chance to discover new markets and innovative solutions by leading food and beverage industry experts while exploring the latest food trends and sampling unique culinary creations.
One of the key highlights of this year's Foodicious F&B expo is the inclusion of overseas exhibitors, with exhibitors from Indonesia (Ai Cha), Thailand (Ali Cashewnut), China, the Philippines, and Australia (DC Innovations), adding a diverse and international flavour to the local F&B scene and underscores the expo’s commitment to nurturing international partnerships within the F&B sector.
“A well-organised expo such as the Foodicious Food & Beverage Expo 2024 generously supports our effort to strengthen Penang’s position as a great destination for business, investment, and leisure. Not only is Foodicious promoting local producers by providing a platform for them to showcase their products to a wider audience, including international buyers and distributors, the expo has also successfully attracted various overseas exhibitors such as China, Taiwan, Thailand, and many more. Furthermore, the expo also creates business opportunities and partnerships by providing a space for industry professionals to network, make business deals, and exchange knowledge and ideas,” says YB Wong Hon Wai.
Another key highlight is the launch of a membership system. “Foodicious is the first F&B expo in Malaysia with a membership system that allows visitors to enjoy more benefits and privileges. This initiative aims to enhance the visitor experience, provide exclusive access to certain offerings, and build a
stronger sense of connection and loyalty with the expo, benefitting our beloved exhibitors in the long run. We will continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible, while always keeping in mind to promote and encourage the growth of our F&B industry nationally and internationally,” said Mr Aleex Quah, CEO of Foodicious Sdn Bhd.
In addition to diverse exhibitor booths, the expo also has launched new promotions and offers for visitors to enjoy. These include purchase-with-purchase deals for RM0.99, mystery boxes with products worth RM30 and above priced at only RM9.99, and the chance to win an air fryer or portable juice blender. There are also a vast array of F&B related activities such as talks, workshops, demos, and more.
Established in 2022, the expo has become a hybrid marketing platform for global F&B players,
offering unparalleled opportunities for brand exposure and business growth. “At Foodicious, we believe in being more than just a F&B expo; we strive to be a one-stop solution hub for local and international F&B players. By providing a platform for collaboration, as well as opportunities for brand exposure and innovation, we aim to drive the growth and success of the F&B industry on both a regional and global scale.” said Mr Aleex Quah.
The Penang-based Foodicious Food & Beverage Expo was established in 2016 and has successfully gathered over 300 brands under one roof, trading over RM10 million in each expo. Today, the Foodicious Food & Beverage Expo is known as the largest F&B expo in the northern region and has set its sights on greater heights.
