Malacca is ready to consider a location for the realization of the Upin & Ipin theme park by Les' Copaque Production Sdn Bhd Company.
Chief Minister Adly Zahari said the company could make an assessment based on the presence of tourists to the state with a variety of tourism products.
According to him, Upin & Ipin has proven to be a great animation and the theme park's planning is in line with the state government's policy of providing more tourism products.
"We propose that Upin & Ipin can be used as a tourism product in Malacca. The state government will continue to work together to brand Upin & Ipin is one of Malaysia's most sought after attractions in Malacca.
"We will strategically discuss this theme park," he told reporters after completing the 2019 Upin & Ipin Carnival at the Melaka International Trade Center (MITC) in Ayer Keroh.
Adly said the state government should discuss the cost of about RM700 million.
"We are discussing it first because the investment is small and what we want to build is 'indoor' so the place needs to be strategic," he said.
