Malaysia is poised to reach its target of 4.2 million Indonesian visitors this year, having already welcomed 3 million tourists by October, as reported by Hairi Mohd Yakzan, the Director of Tourism Malaysia Jakarta.
Yakzan credited the success to the introduction of new flight connections, a series of impactful promotional campaigns, and robust partnerships with tourism organizations throughout Malaysia’s states.
Hairi also revealed that the Malaysia Travel Fair will take place from December 13 to 15 in Yogyakarta, aimed at promoting Malaysia as a premier travel destination for locals and neighboring regions.
The event, organized in partnership with the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (ASTINDO) and the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA), seeks to bolster Malaysia’s standing as a top travel spot.
Attendees will enjoy special promotions on travel tickets, discounts on tour packages, exclusive offers from travel agents and exhibitors, and a variety of activities, including prize draws, teh tarik demonstrations, and traditional Malaysian dance performances.
