The National Art Gallery (NAG) in Kuala Lumpur reopened yesterday after being closed for more than three months during the movement control order (and its extensions), which started March 18.

It was a quiet affair as only two exhibitions are currently available, with NAG observing the public health safety SOPs.

These are both located on the first level of the NAG building, namely, Galeri Tun Razak - where a selection of 37 artworks from the NAG’s permanent collection are featured in the New Media exhibition - and Galeri Potret, where Anthony Chan’s From My World To Yours solo exhibition is being held.

Chan's From My World To Yours ends its run on Sept 6. New Media will go on until the year end.

Until more spaces at NAG are open to the public, no more than a total of 30 visitors will be allowed into the gallery at the moment. This is split between Galeri Tun Razak (20 visitors) and Galeri Potret (10 visitors).

Entry to the gallery remains free. NAG is currently open from 10am to 4pm (Tuesday to Sunday), until further notice.

Only those between 14 and 60 years old are permitted entry. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks and practise social distancing at all times.
