Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) appoints Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik as its new Chief Executive Officer, beginning November 20, 2023.

With over 30 years of diverse experience, Azman is a seasoned professional who is well-positioned to steer Malaysia's business events sector towards unprecedented success. His extensive background in corporate management, spanning industries including technology, food and beverage, hospitality, and tourism, makes him a vital part of MyCEB's leadership group.

Azman brings a plethora of knowledge to his present role from his prior contributions to the expansion of notable companies including Johor Corporation and Damansara Holdings Berhad. His noteworthy role as manager of the Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia, in particular, showed his ability to boost business profitability by utilising cutting-edge strategies.

Azman emphasized Malaysia’s fortunate position in navigating industrial advancements in his vision for a “new era” in the corporate events industry. He intends to use digitization and technology improvements to attract high-quality international events and delegations, establishing Malaysia as a regional powerhouse.

Azman stresses empowerment and diversity in order to make a lasting legacy in the fast-paced industry. “I am delighted to represent an industry as sizable and important as Business Events,” Azman said. On research, policy, skills, training, events, and advocacy, he promises to work closely with members, stakeholders, and the government.
