Malaysia’s world-class dive destinations take centre stage this weekend as Tourism Malaysia joins forces with the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) Ocean Festival 2025 in Singapore as the official Dive Destination Partner.
The strategic partnership marks a bold move by Tourism Malaysia to position the country as a top-tier diving destination in the global market. With the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign on the horizon, the collaboration with ADEX — Asia’s largest and longest-running dive expo — serves as a timely platform to attract international dive enthusiasts, industry professionals, and marine conservation advocates.
Held from 4 to 6 April at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, the festival draws thousands of visitors annually, offering an immersive dive experience through exhibitions, conservation forums, and educational showcases. Malaysia’s presence is bolstered by a dedicated pavilion featuring six dive operators highlighting packages to iconic dive sites such as Sipadan, Mabul, Tioman, and the Terengganu islands.
“Malaysia is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking dive locations, and our participation at ADEX Ocean Festival 2025 reinforces our commitment to marine conservation and sustainable tourism,” said Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Director General of Tourism Malaysia. “This is not just about promoting tourism; it’s about protecting our marine heritage while showcasing the extraordinary underwater adventures Malaysia has to offer.”
Tourism Malaysia’s participation aligns closely with ADEX’s mission to raise environmental awareness. Each year, the expo adopts a specific marine conservation theme to spotlight pressing issues affecting ocean ecosystems.
With global interest in eco-tourism and sustainable travel on the rise, Tourism Malaysia is leveraging ADEX to elevate Malaysia’s profile as a responsible and alluring dive destination. The initiative also serves as a springboard to build anticipation for Visit Malaysia 2026, which aims to draw international tourists through cultural, ecological, and adventure-based experiences.
