According to Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, the Tourism, arts, and Culture Ministry has not excluded any state while distributing funding for tourist-related initiatives.

According to him, the ministry held several consultation meetings where state government representatives may express concerns about the state tourist industry.

"They [state government representatives] have a real chance to express their needs now.

After presiding over Tasik Cermin 2, which was held in cooperation with Visit Perak 2024, today, he told reporters, "We always welcome any collaboration or inquiries about tourism and cultural sectors."

According to a report released today, the Perlis government expressed dissatisfaction with the ministry's alleged lack of responsiveness regarding finances for improving tourist destinations, particularly for Visit Perlis Year 2024–2025.

Perlis besar menteri Shukri Ramli asserted that Tiong King Sing, the minister of tourism, arts, and culture, had not replied to the state government's invitation for a meeting to address the issue.

Shukri claims that RM4 million was demanded by the state administration to renovate eight popular tourism destinations in Perlis.

Khairul, though, suggested that there might have been a miscommunication.

He declared, "We have organized various activities to boost the tourism sector in the state and we have allocated development funds to Perlis."
