Joanne Clare Deaves, 23, and Ellesha Meschille, 20, are prepared to fly the Sabah flag proudly at the Miss Malaysia Tourism 2023 national competition in Kuala Lumpur.
At the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, they are registering right now.
Together with fifteen other finalists from other states in Malaysia, they will participate in a 10- day pageant week.
On the final night, which is October 13, they will compete for one of the three major titles, Miss Malaysia Tourism 2023, Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2023, or Miss Malaysia Metropolitan 2023.
It was difficult for the State Director, Xandria Ban, who is also the Miss Tourism International 2023 organizing chairlady, to choose the talented young women from Sabah to represent the low-lying region at the Miss Malaysia Tourism national final.
She seeks candidates who are not only physically attractive but also informed and capable of carrying herself as the Sabah ambassador to Malaysia and promoting our lovely state.
Ellesha and Joanne have the ability, in her opinion, to represent our lovely state in the national final.
To make sure the Sabah delegates are well-prepared for the national final, Xandria has given them intensive training on the fundamental catwalk, and grooming, as well as advice on public speaking and question-and-answer sessions.
Ellesha, our Sabah representative, also thinks that the Miss Malaysia Tourism journey would be an amazing adventure, rich in diversity, beauty, and culture.
She cannot wait to meet all of the finalists.
Joanne Clare, who has been practicing for the pageant, is grateful for the chance to represent her lovely state in this national final and feels prepared in terms of her ability to execute her talent as well as walk the runway and talk in front of an audience.
She has self-confidence and is an inspiration to Sabah.
